Around the holidays the bakery shifts to order work: pies in the fall, trays of dinner rolls, cookie boxes, and breads sized for a full table. We post the order list a few weeks ahead of each holiday, you pick from it, and everything is baked the day before or the morning of pickup.
The same goes for offices and gatherings any time of year — a pastry tray or a bread basket ordered a couple of days ahead is an easy way to feed a room. Order early for the big holidays; oven space is the one thing we cannot bake more of.
